On October 19, 1990, during his second year of law school, Robert was in a. motorcycle accident. He sustained serious injuries and was permanently. paralyzed from the waist down.. Determined to finish what he started, Davis returned to law school six months after his injury and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1993 from the LSU Law School in Baton Rouge Louisiana.. After passing the Louisiana and Texas bar exams, he accepted a position with Taylor and Cire in Houston, Texas.
