Rudy is the firm's Managing Shareholder and Executive Committee Chairman. He maintains a broad practice in commercial, financial and employment litigation and previously led the firm's Litigation group. In his diverse commercial litigation practice, Rudy represents clients in all types of business-related disputes, including breach of contract, trade secret, securities, lender liability, racketeering, and construction claims. Rudy has extensive experience advocating for his clients in federal and state trial courts, which includes conducting jury and bench trials as lead attorney. He also routinely represents clients before administrative and governmental agencies. Understanding the toll litigation takes, Rudy devotes a substantial portion of his practice to advising clients on litigation-avoidance measures.In his employment practice, Rudy counsels and defends employers who face claims of sexual harassment, disability, gender, age, race, national origin and religious discrimination, wrongful discharge, and employment-related tort and contract claims. Rudy frequently represents employers in contractual arbitration proceedings and before various employment-related agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Civil Rights Division of the Attorney General's Office, and the New Mexico Department of Labor.Rudy received his J.D. in 1993 from the University of New Mexico School of Law where he was the Articles Editor for the University of New Mexico Natural Resources Journal and the recipient of the Moise Prize for excellence in legal ethics. Rudy earned his B.A. in anthropology and political science from Amherst College, and he was a 4-year starter on the university's football team.
