After graduating from Southern Adventist University near Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2001and interning with the Hamilton County, Tennessee Public Defender's Office in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Daniel attended law school at the University of Tennessee's College of Law at Knoxville.. While at the University of Tennessee, Daniel participated in the College of Law's Advocacy Track program and took a variety of business-related courses, including a Business Associations course for which he received a Certificate of Academic Excellence.. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law, Daniel worked for several years as an associate with a regional civil defense firm where his practice focussed mostly on workers' compensation that time, Daniel argued before the Tennessee Supreme Court, one of the youngest lawyers in the State of Tennessee to do so.. Daniel was with Cantrell, Cantrell & Associates from November 2009 until March 2015. He then became a Partner with the Firm, which is now named Cantrell, Goodge & Associates.
