I have been a lawyer for nearly 20 years. In that time, I have practiced in areas as varied and diverse as representing clients in contract disputes, real estate disputes, labor and employment disputes, intellectual property disputes, and others. I have also counseled clients on the proper and most beneficial business formation, corporate compliance, raising equity and debt, drafting various contracts and documents for businesses to help them to standardize and streamline operations, as well as other agreements and contracts.. I was also fortunate to have worked in several areas before going to law school. I worked on a congressman’s staff in the mid-1990s. After that, I worked for MCI in its government markets division acting as the pricing analyst on two large contracts exceeding $1.5 billion that provided network connectivity for air traffic control for the United States Department of Commerce. I also worked as the pricing analyst and project manager on a large contract providing telecommunications services to 14 different state offices of the United States Department of Agriculture.. After leaving MCI Government Markets in metro Washington, DC, I came to the New York area in 1999. While living in Washington, I graduated with a BBA in finance in 1993 from The George Washington University. After moving to the New York area, I attended Seton Hall Law School and graduated in 2003.. This hybrid background informs how I practice law and has allowed me the ability to look at issues from a number of perspectives. In doing so, I strive to look at legal problems from a business and legal perspective. Legal services can be pricey, and I work hard to make sure that the value of the services I provide matches the price that our clients pay. It is with this in mind that I look at legal advice, especially in a non-litigation context, as a balancing act. My job is to explain the risks to doing this or not doing that and to assess the likelihood of those events. It is in this process that I work to make sure the client goes into any situation with their eyes open as much as possible.
