Angela is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law, as determined by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Angela was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 4, 2008. She graduated from UCLA in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Political Science, and obtained her J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2008.. Angela served as an Assistant United States Attorney here in Los Angeles, California from June 2020 through March of 2025, representing government agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service and the Small Business Administration, in United States Bankruptcy Court and United States District Court matters. Her focus on bankruptcy litigation matters helped to prepare her for her new job with me! While working as an Assistant United States Attorney, Angela handled all aspects of litigation including preparing and responding to complaints, discovery, all kinds of motions, mediations, adversary proceedings, trials and appeals.. From February of 2010 to May of 2020, Angela worked as a Staff Attorney for Chapter 13 Trustee Kathy Dockery here in Los Angeles, California. She represented the Trustee in all aspects of administering a high volume of bankruptcy filings, regularly examining debtors at meetings of creditors and representing the Trustee at confirmation hearings and contested matters..
