Chris firmly believes that in cases involving children their best interests are paramount, directing clients to focus on their children’s needs over their own. Early in his practice, Chris was trained as a Child and Family Investigator. He keeps this knowledge and focus central in his cases though he does not take appointments, preferring to focus on litigation.. Chris is a Bar Fellow and was the President of the Continental Division Bar Association for two years. Prior to being President of the CDBA, he was a board member for almost a decade holding every position on the board, some more than once. Chris has been a member of AFCC since 2017.. Chris is also adamantly dedicated to his pro bono work, which focus solely on family law cases. Chris receives pro bono awards annually for his participation with Northwest Legal Services (5th JD) and Boulder County Legal Services (20th JD). Early in his career, Chris worked with Metro Volunteer Lawyers.. Chris is a graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University and Wayne State University Law School. Prior to beginning his law career, he worked on a trading desk for Nuveen Investments in Chicago.. When not practicing law, Chris, his wife, two young sons and two amazing dogs enjoy hiking in the Colorado Mountains and Utah Canyons in the summer and skiing in the winter.
