Life before Law: I have a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from UCLA. I was Poet Laureate of the UC system while an undergraduate as well as Editor of UCLA’s literary journal. I then attended Iowa Writers’ Workshop and obtained a Masters of Fine Arts. I have published many poems and pieces of fiction. I was runner-up for two national first book of poetry awards. After over a decade of pursuing the creative arts, I took a fork in the road which unexpectedly led to starting law school at the age of 31.. “True, we build no bridges. We raise no towers.
