Before earning his law degree, Mr. Owens gained experience in the criminal justice system by working for the U.S. Marshal’s Service Violent Crimes Task Force. Afterward, he focused on his legal education and earned his law degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law. Upon graduation, he spent time performing civil litigation for a large law firm and later accepted a position as a Public Defender for the San Diego County Office.In 2016, Troy founded The Law Office Of Troy P. Owens, Jr., A.P.C. Running a private practice has provided Mr. Owens with more time to work one-on-one with his clients. He has handled a wide range of injury and criminal cases, including high-profile cases involving kidnapping and murder.
