Jeffery Bruce Yazel earned his law degree at McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, and his Bachelors of Science from California State University, Sacramento. He also holds a California Teaching Credential from Chapman University. He is a member of the California Bar Association, and the Sacramento County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court and the United States Federal District Court.. Mr. Yazel served as Special Counsel to the Senate Select Committee Investigating the Price Fixing of California’s Energy Market. As a litigation attorney with the Zumbrun Law Firm, he specialized in land use and constitutional issues. At Zumbrun, he championed landowner’s rights against bureaucratic agencies including California Coastal Commission, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Caltrans, and California Department of Fish & Game, (fought against the poisoning of Lake Davis). Mr. Yazel was instrumental in drafting and enacting legislation aimed at the prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and has also been a consistent volunteer for political campaigns and voter initiatives.. Today, Mr. Yazel vigorously represents homeowners throughout Californiaagainst predatory brokers and lenders including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, U.S. Bank, GreenPoint, OneWest, Deutsche Bank, Capital One, Bank of New York Mellon, Countrywide, Wachovia, Washington Mutual, MERS and many others.. Mr. Yazel is a former educator, and has always been active in his Elk Grove community serving as President of the Parent Teacher Organization and site counsel for his local elementary school, coaching little league baseball, basketball, soccer and high school football. He has enjoyed many years as a certified NCOA referee in high school basketball and USSF soccer. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Knights of Columbus and the Federalist Society. He and his wife live in Sacramento with their two youngest children. His oldest son proudly serves in the United States Army.
