Attorney Kian Mottahedeh received his JD from Whittier College School of Law with an emphasis in Business Law. He received his BA degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. During law school, Attorney Mottahedeh held leadership positions in the Jewish Law Student Association and participation in Moot Court competition. Over the course of his career, Kian has represented some 1,500 consumers in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. Attorney Mottahedeh has successfully negotiated the removal of judgment liens and second mortgages on behalf of countless clients throughout Los Angeles. Attorney Mottahedeh has also represented several corporations in Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings. At the time PLG was considered one of the largest consumer bankruptcy firms. Worked for PLG for 5 Years. Filed over 2000 consumer bankruptcies. Worked on complicated corporate chapter 7 liquidations. Tax relief matters in bankruptcy court. At the end of 2011 I left Price Law Group to Start my own Practice. I partnered up with another former Price Law Group Associate John Sarai. Started SM Law Group APC.. Our First office was in the basement of a blood donation bank. We Emphasized on solely consumer bankruptcies for the next two years.. I have filed over 2,000 consumer bankruptcies. I have discharged over $5 mil of debt. One big difference with our practice is that even though we are growing my partner and I are very hands on with all of our clients.. My partner and I have always made sure to have a diverse group of employees so as our clients diverse needs (languages) can be met easily.
