Before obtaining my J.D., I worked for a tax accounting firm for several years in Portland, Oregon where I represented clients in their dealings with the IRS. I felt their frustration, and I watched as their interactions with the agency only brought out feelings of uneasiness. Inspired to make a difference, I moved back to California to pursue a law degree with a focus on tax law, eager to provide guidance and relief to taxpayers in need of an advocate.. I have had the pleasure of working with individuals and small businesses in various areas, including tax planning and preparation, tax controversy, and offshore voluntary disclosures. SInce 2008, I have been licensed to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent, and was later admitted to the State Bar of California. After seven years of tirelessly advocating for thos experiencing tax problems, I was fortuante enough to meet like-minded professionals who are equally passionate about helping others achieve both financial stability and peace of mind. Once I joined NewPoint Law Group, I was able to gain further knowledge and experience in additional fields of law. My expertise has grown to include business law, estate planning, and bankruptcy law.
