Born and raised in Morro Bay, California, I attended college in the Midwest (University of Chicago - B.A. June 1996) and law school in the Rocky Mountains (University of Denver - J.D. May 1999).  I obtained my Colorado license and practiced briefly at a medium-sized litigation firm in Denver before returning to practice in my home state of California in 2000.. I believe my clients are entitled to a lawyer who can call upon extensive trial experience to assess how their case will be received during a trial, arbitration, or mediated settlement.  From the first day of my practice I focused on courtroom and trial advocacy.  I have attended several hundreds of hearings before courts, arbitrators, and governmental agencies.  Of those, nearly 100 were contested hearings and trials involving live witness testimony.  As a result, I have developed the deep background necessary to help you make the best decision possible in your dispute.. I have been married over half my life and I have five children, so I can relate to individual situations with job, kids, and family, on a personal level.  When I'm not working, I coach children's sports, help with their activities, swim, practice yoga, waterski, attend my church, and I will go to just about any baseball game I can find.
