I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and am a graduate of UC Davis and University of San Francisco School of Law.. Straight out of law school, I founded Modlin Legal, which back then was a freelance law practice: I did the work that other attorneys had no time for. I built that business up on referrals only, and worked for numerous small firms and solo practitioners across the whole state of California, in many different practice areas.. In January of 2010, I stopped freelancing and Modlin Legal became a full service estate planning firm. I specialize exclusively on clients whose net worth is under $5m. I have developed a very efficient 3-meeting planning process. I always offer free consultations, and strive to work for flat fees, whenever possible. The firm is nearly completely paperless, utilizes the latest cloud-based technology, and was just certified as a Santa Clara County Green Business..
