Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Banie has successfully represented victims of predatory lending against mortgage brokers and creditors. He has also assisted members of the San Mateo community to obtain guardianships to help care for their underaged family members in need. Mr. Banie received Certificates of Recognition from the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo for "outstanding pro bono services to low-income residents of San Mateo” in 2005 and 2006. In addition, Mr. Banie received a firmwide award for his outstanding pro bono service at DLA Piper US LLP.
