Jason James Coleman is a Certified Family Law Specialist. Mr. Coleman grew up in Orange County, having graduated from Esperanza High School and California State University Fullerton.. In June 2008, Mr. Coleman earned his Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, Mr. Coleman gained valuable legal experience as a certified law clerk for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He was admitted to the State Bar of California the same year he graduated from law school, in July 2008.. Mr. Coleman obtained an additional law degree in Taxation (LL.M.) from Chapman University School of Law. Not only did he excel in such a challenging program, but he also externed for the Tax Division of the United States Attorney’s Office. This additional knowledge and experience has proven to be an advantage in family law litigation, where complex financial issues often arise.. Mr. Coleman has dedicated his practice exclusively to family law in Orange County. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Family Law Section. In May 2012, Mr. Coleman completed the Houston Family Law Trial Institute, an intensive seven-day seminar that focused on trial skills, child custody and financial issues.. Mr. Coleman is an active member of the community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of his church, and was a volunteer staff attorney for the Advocacy Committee of the Orangewood Children’s Foundation, an organization that provides housing assistance for abused and neglected children in Orange County.. Mr. Coleman served as a reservist in the United States Navy from 2002 until 2010, when he received an Honorable Discharge..
