Tristan Gunn is a practicing attorney and partner at the law office of TAPIA-RUANO & GUNN, PC. (TRGPC). He focuses his practice in the area of removal defense before the Chicago Immigration Court and Family-Based immigration. His practice includes applications for permanent residency in the US and through consular processing abroad. His practice also includes waivers of inadmissibility, U visas, applications for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and Naturalization.. Mr. Gunn has been named by Illinois Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for 2018. He has also been recognized as an “Emerging Lawyer” by the Leading Lawyer’s Network in 2017 and 2018. Mr. Gunn was also named a “Top Lawyer” by Chicago Lawyer Magazine in 2017.. Tristan attended law school at Depaul University College of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2011. Tristan became a member of the Illinois Bar in 2012 and has been practicing immigration law ever since. Tristan is bilingual in English and Spanish. Tristan is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has been an active particiapnt in the Chicago Chapter.. At TRGPC virtually all areas of immigration law are practiced with few exceptions. Attorneys primarily provide services relating to applications for Legal Permanent Residency through Adjustment of Status and Consular Processsing, Naturalization, U Visas, VAWAs, preparing inadmissibility waivers, DACA applications, non-immigrant visas, defense in removal proceedings, and asylum. Attorneys also handle a variety of employment based applicaitons.
