Mr. McMurray received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California Hastings College of Law, and a Master of Laws in (LLM) Chinese Law from the Tsinghua Law School in Beijing.. Mr. McMurray also served as Grand Island Town Supervisor from January of 2015 to December of 2019, his accomplishments included achieving record budget surpluses and the town’s highest-ever credit rating. During his supervisory role, Grand Island secured multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects, including community solar projects, rehabilitation of abandoned sites, broadband infrastructure, and trail access initiatives. These projects were achieved through aggressive bidding strategies resulting in obtaining millions in State and Federal grants while attracting major development projects, including an Amazon logistics hub.. Mr. McMurray also has deep experience working internationally as Foreign Legal Counsel working for Barun Law, Yulchon Attorneys in Seoul, Korea, and for Allen & Overy, LLP in Beijing, China. He was also Senior Counsel for Samsung Electronics in Seoul, Korea. His experience overseas includes advising U.S. businesses on investment projects and cross-border disputes in Asia, as well as advising U.S. companies on market strategy, acquisitions, and other matters. He speaks Korean and Mandarin.
