Jorden graduated from Cal State University San Marcos in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies and Sociology, and in 2013 received his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Working full-time to support himself through law school, Jorden still found time to donate over 100 pro bono hours to the San Diego Family Law Facilitators Office helping families through complex divorce, child custody battles and domestic violence issues. He also donated time as a Mediator for the National Conflict Resolution Center, and as a Law Clerk for a small personal injury firm.. Jorden moved to Oregon to be closer to his family. He took and passed the Oregon State Bar Exam in 2016 and opened his own practice in the Sellwood area specializing in estate planning.. While building his practice Jorden met and fell in love with his partner Emily, and they now have two children Elijah and Skylar. They are deeply committed to their family and their community, participating in local events such as food drives, early learning development programs and charitable fundraisers.. Steadfast in his belief in the necessity of giving back, Jorden continues to be involved with his local community on a professional level as well. He is a current member of, the Oregon State Bar Solo Small Firm Section Executive Committee; the Oregon Advocates where he participates in programs created by Legal Aid Services of Oregon; and outside of Legal Aid volunteering, Jorden also volunteers providing legal advice to seniors at local Senior Community Centers.. Jorden has been colleagues with Richard since moving to Oregon and as a result has fostered a Mentor/Mentee relationship. In the summer of 2020 Jorden merged his estate planning practice with Oregon Legal Center. Jorden and Richard are equal partners and in the years to come Jorden will take over the operation of Oregon Legal Center and provide continuity to the clients of Oregon Legal Center with respect to their estate planning, probate and trust administration needs.
