Jason R. Lipkin specializes in complex commercial and real estate litigation. Jason is known for his creative approach to litigation and for achieving outstanding results for clients.  Jason has a wide ranging background that includes an internship with a former United States Senator and a summer spent on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lipkin spent several years at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker in New York City. During his time at Wilson Elser, Mr. Lipkin defended large corporations, including several Fortune 500 Companies, in premises liability, product liability and toxic tort litigation.. Prior to working at Wilson Elser, Mr. Lipkin practiced commercial and real estate litigation at Rappaport, Hertz, Cherson & Rosenthal.  Mr. Lipkin's practice involved working with developers and some of the largest residential landlords in the New York City area.  Highlights from his time at Rappaport Hertz include managing pre-trial litigation and second-seating the successful defense of a landlord at trial in a federal housing discrimination trial.. Mr. Lipkin received his law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school Mr. Lipkin was involved in the Mediation and Negotiation Seminar as well as the school's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.  Mr. Lipkin was offered a staff position on Cardozo's Women's Law Journal, but chose to pursue litigation experience at a small litigation firm.. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lipkin earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin, with a major in Political Science. While in school, Mr. Lipkin took a particular interest in First Amendment Rights and the effects of campaign finance on elections.  Pursuing this interest, Mr. Lipkin began working for Common Cause, performing research regarding the effects of campaign advertising on different segments of the electorate.  Mr. Lipkin's work for Common Cause eventually led to a legislative internship in the office of former US Senator Russel Feingold (WI).. Mr. Lipkin is currently admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Court in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and New Jersey.
