Tim ran for public office in 1998, making the run-off for Mayor of San Bernardino and became the Democratic Nominee for Congress in 2008. He chaired the opposition to a city ballot measure that was defeated and participated in the successful recall of San Bernardino's City Attorney in 2013.. He was honored as a Citizen of Achievement by the League of Women Voters in 2009. His law firm, Tomlinson & Prince, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2015.
