Born in Chicago, Illinois, Pankaj has grown up embracing his Indian and American identities. It was as a young adult, reading the works for Mahatma Gandhi that Pankaj decided to follow the footsteps of the great Indian revolutionary and pursue a career dedicated to justice. Pankaj graduated in 2005 from University of Arizona with a double BA in Economics and Sociology (Honors) with a minor in Business Administration. After graduating, Pankaj spent one year in India working with Indicorps, teaching music, fighting for fisherman property rights, and tutoring Tibetan monks in english.
