I am a housing attorney in Los Angeles.  I have worked at Castelblanco Law Group, a plaintiff firm that represents tenants against slumlords, Inner City Law Center and the Eviction Defense Network (EDN).. I currently work as the Directing Attorney of the Homeowner Protection Team at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, (the House of Justice) which has been offering free legal services to the Los Angeles community for 50 years.  Bet Tzedek is not LSC-funded, and offers free legal services to community members regardless of race, creed or citizenship status for a range of civil legal problems.  People seeking legal services should call or apply directly to Bet Tzedek to be assessed for eligibility.. The Homeowner Protection team focuses on assisting low-income and elderly homeowners combat threats to their housing stability and homeownership, including elder abuse, predatory lending or practices, mortgage stress and foreclosure..
