I am a native of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and have focused my legal profession in the area of family law.  After law school, I began working with  law firms as an associate attorney focusing mainly on family law cases.  I have successfully negotiated and resolved numerous divorce and custody cases, and I have tried numerous contested divorce cases and contested custody cases across the State of Maryland, with my primary practice in Anne Arundel County.  Not only have I represented parties in divorce and custody actions, I have also been appointed by the Court as a best interests attorney for children.  Additionally, I volunteer some of my time at the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County as a facilitator to help mediate cases at Scheduling Conferences.. In recognition of my standing in the legal community, I have been designated as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Baltimore magazines for the past three years.. In regards to my education, I received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2003.  During law school, I served as an Affiliate Editor of Margins Law Journal and served as a summer judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Philip T. Caroom, in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County.  I received my undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland located in College Park in the year 2000.  I was a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
