In the year 2003, Justin enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserves and served nine years as an aerospace maintenance technician. While there, he was mobilized twice and deployed overseas. During law school, Justin volunteered at the Veterans Law Clinic where he assisted disabled Veterans with their VA disability claims. Justin believes in helping his fellow veterans and the community. At one point Justin was a volunteer fireman with the City of Dover. Justin is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Delaware and Maryland..
