Shara McDonald Dixon has exclusively practiced family law in Austin, Texas since 2020.. Shara obtained her law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2020 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. During her time in law school, she was a member of the South Texas Law Review and Student Bar Association. She also volunterred with the school's family law clinic, where she helped represent individuals with divorce and custody issues on a pro bono basis. Outside of school, she had the opportunity to clerk at a reputable Houston firm that handled complex custody disputes and property division cases consisting of multi-million dollar estates.. Shara graduated from Texas A&M University in December 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. During her time at Texas A&M she served as scholarship chair for Gamma Phi Beta as well as a student senator for the Student Government Association, where she represented the interests of the student body at large. While completing her undergraduate degree, Shara clerked for the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division and secured the role of a paralegal at a local family law firm, solidifying her decision to pursue her dream of becoming a family law attorney.. Upon graduation from law school, Shara returned home to Austin, Texas and has since been serving Travis and surrounding counties.. Shara strives to obtain creative solutions for her clients. She has uccessfully litigated many cases and is ready to take cases to trial when needed. She understands she is oftentimes meeting clients at a very uncertain and stressful point in their lives. Her goal is to guide each client through the legal process with her knowledge of the law and compassion for each unique situation, all while working to obtain the best outcome possible.
