I am a native of Longview, Texas, but live in Houston with my wife Lauren. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 2001 and my law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2005. While in law school, I was president of the Student Bar Association and an academic merit scholar. I served on the law school’s Pro Bono & Access to Justice Board and received the Dean’s Citizenship Award. I served as president and founder of ADR Advocates and I am a Certified Impartial Third Party, who has mediated cases for the Harris County Better Business Bureau and Houston’s family courts. While in law school, I also established Triple Play, an annual charity softball tournament involving Houston area law firms and law schools, benefiting local charities, including the Houston Area Women’s Center.. Since 2005, I has represented hundreds of cancer victims, and their families, from all across our country.  I have represented victims of mesothelioma and ovarian cancer, whose fates were unjustly the result of corporate negligence, misconduct, and greed. For more than half a century, asbestos manufacturers hid the truth about the hazards of asbestos in order to maximize profits, which has robbed our families of the opportunity for a happy, fulfilling life and often resulted in the death of our loved ones. While we would hope that corporations would acknowledge their wrongs of the past and fairly compensate families who have suffered at the hands of corporate greed, we continue to see businesses failing to protect consumers, as is clear from the recent revelation that talcum powder manufacturers have known for decades that their products can cause ovarian cancer, yet they continue to choose profits over providing a fair warning.. I have fought vigorously and tirelessly to help mend the emotional and financial devastation suffered by these victims and their families, and I continues to be an advocate for truth and corporate responsibility to help prevent other families from suffering the same fate.. Throughout my career, I has achieved substantial recoveries on behalf of his clients and was named one of Texas’ Top Outstanding Young Lawyers in Personal Injury LItigation for 2013. In addition, my peers in the legal community selected me as a Texas Rising Star for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018. I am also a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association.
