Mr. Zomerfeld graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law, and received his B.A. cum laude in Political Science, with a minor in Legal Studies from Buffalo State College.. At UB, Mr. Zomerfeld spent three years at the Office of Judicial Affairs, culminating his tenure there as Chief Hearing Representative. In that capacity, he supervised an office of 10, and supervised administrative hearings concerning student conduct violations ranging from hazing to harassment to sexual assault.. Prior to law school, Mr. Zomerfeld held a similar position at Buffalo State College – that of Chief Justice, effectively supervising six colleagues and adjudicating a variety of civil and criminal matters related to student conduct.. Beyond his achievements in the courtroom, Mr. Zomerfeld is a member of the prestigious Order of Barristers legal honor society and a recipient of the Robert J. Connelly Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, which is given to students in recognition of their superior abilities as developing trial lawyers and in demonstration of zealous advocacy, civility, and ethics.
