I started my legal career at law firms that worked for the insurance companies and the businesses they insured. I learned how the insurance companies investigate injuries caused by their clients, collect evidence against the victims, and evaluate claims - in terms of dollars and cents - not in regard to the lives that were broken and forever changed. I worked with adjusters to put a dollar figure on the traumatic injuries suffered by people in Illinois in car accidents and workplace accidents. I also learned how insurance companies minimize their risk of paying money to the injured. I grew frustrated with my role in the process, because an insurance company is in business to collect money and keep it. They are not in the business of compassion for the injured people. Now I want to use the knowledge and experience I gained while working for them, and put it to work for you. I want to help injured people in Illinois get the peace of mind and the security that they deserve. I am committed to justice for real people. You are more than just a case number or another file in the cabinet to me - you are an individual, with problems and needs unlike anyone else. I promise that you and your case will receive my personal attention and I will expend all of my energy bring the knowledge and experience of my legal team to bear to see that you are treated with the respect you deserve.. Away from the Courtroom and the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife Jaci and our dog Wellington. I am still an avid soccer player and works with professional soccer players to further their careers and volunteer with SPENSA, a soccer league for children with special needs. I also serve as the Steering Committee Chairman for the St. Louis Public Library’s Young Literati, a group devoted to spreading the possibilities that exist within the St. Louis library system and reaching out to the community to offer those resources.
