Prior to joining Rawls, Scheer, Clary & Mingo in 2022, Eli spent more than six years at the Mecklenburg County Public Defender, where he gained considerable experience representing clients accused of misdemeanor assault, felony drug and property charges, and domestic violence.. Eli’s specialty is taking on the most challenging cases and securing the best outcome for his clients. While he has taken dozens of cases to trial and prevailed in many, he also understands that many good outcomes can be achieved without trial by learning from, listening to, and truly understanding his clients and their goals.
