Memminger E. Wiggins began practicing law in 1996 after graduating from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, located in Lansing, Michigan.  The goal from the beginning was to provide prompt, professional, but yet personal, legal services to his clients.  His North Carolina law practice can be considered a “boutique” law firm in the sense that he limits his practice of law primarily to just those areas of law that includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets. His South Carolina law practice was primarily limited to business/corporate law, probate law and estate planning, and real estate law.. A South Carolina native, Mr. Wiggins received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Clemson University.  He then worked as a research scientist at Clemson University and continued his post-graduate and graduate studies.  After 13 fulfilling years at the university, he decided to pursue a legal career and enrolled into the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.  While attending law school, he served as a law clerk for Michigan’s Attorney General’s Office.. Mr. Wiggins is a licensed attorney in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and admitted to practice before the United States District Court District of South Carolina, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in May of 1996 and to the North Carolina Bar in April of 2010.. His present/past membership/associations include the North Carolina State Bar, South Carolina State Bar, Mecklenburg County Bar Association, Union County Bar Association, York County Bar Assocation, Oconee County Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, Literacy Council of Union County, Oconee County United Way, the Seneca Chamber of Commerce, the Clemson Chamber of Commerce, the Clemson University Flying Club, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, advisor for the Clemson University Rowing Club, and the Seneca Presbyterian Church.
