Brandi is practically a Las Vegas native having lived in the city for most of her life. Brandi was raised in a working-class family of modest means, and from an early age her father encouraged her to be an attorney, recognizing her talent for critical thinking, strategic analysis and ability to argue.. Brandi attended UNLV where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in communications. She initially began her career as a public relations professional at one of Las Vegas’ top advertising firms where she crafted corporate communication messaging for a number of clients in the construction, gaming, real estate and healthcare fields. However, the lure of the law proved too great to ignore, so Brandi enrolled in the night program at the William S. Boyd School of Law—all while continuing to work full time during the day..
