In this role, he handled arraignments, plea bargains, motions, trials, and sentencing recommendations. He also interned in the legal department of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Las Vegas during his final year of law school, an experience that strengthened his transactional drafting skills. Today, Lane serves as an independent, on-demand attorney for the Three Affiliated Tribes and as a special attorney with the child support programs of the Red Lake and White Earth Nations.
