Erica G. Brown is a member of the State Bar Associations of Michigan and California and has been working as an attorney in the area of family law since 2009.  Having received her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and being admitted as a member of the State Bar of California in 2009, Ms. Brown began her practice of the law in Los Angeles, working for Bergman Law Group, a distinguished full service family law firm. She gained extensive experience working alongside an exceptional family law practitioner who specialized in the field for nearly forty years.. As a native of Metropolitan Detroit, earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Ms. Brown decided to return home to be a part of the community in which she grew up, and advance her career near family members.  In 2013, in an effort to further her passion for the law by zealously advocating for her family law clients, Ms. Brown joined forces with Barbara B. Smith, J.D. of the Law Offices of Barbara B. Smith PLLC, an experienced family law mediation and litigation firm.  Together, their team has over thirty years of combined experience and is determined to provide excellent service to each client, either by successfully negotiating a settlement, or aggressively litigating each particular matter.. When involved in a custody, divorce, or other family law dispute, or seeking adoption related services, an individual faces the most personal and difficult moments in his or her life.  It is very important to Ms. Brown that her clients feel that their rights are being protected and that their concerns will be heard.
