He obtained a Master's degree from Seattle University's School of Theology and Ministry and a J.D. degree from Seattle University's School of Law. Before he practiced law, Ric was director of a non-profit organization in the Tacoma area that provides homes and work for people with developmental disabilities. He opened the Rose Law Office in Puyallup, Washington in 2000, concentrating his practice in the area of disability law.
