She received her juris doctor in 2005 from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.. After passing the Florida Bar in 2006, she joined U.S. Bank National Association's Corporate Trust Group working on corporate and municipal finance transactions. Ms. Whitehead worked exclusively with the Auction Rate Security Product and was a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) model auction procedures taskforce.. In October 2009, she and her fiance moved to New Mexico to pursue a new career as a sole practitioner.
