Emily earned her law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Va. Following her education, she clerked for one year for the Honorable Robert J. Smith of Fairfax County Circuit Court and clerked for a second year for the Honorable Bruce D. White, Chief Judge of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Both these experiences helped hone her advocacy skills..
