Scott has dedicated his practice to defending those accused of committing crimes, violations or traffic offenses including DWI. He has been developing the skills needed to be  a criminal defense attorney since he started law school. Scott focused two of his three years in Law School on trial advocacy and courtroom strategy. He received numerous awards from Syracuse University College of Law in the area of trial advocacy. After graduating law school, Scott spent time at the Stanley Law Offices continuing to develop his trial skills. He soon joined the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney. Scott handled all types of criminal matters at various stages from investigation to arrest and from arraignment to disposition. A significant portion of his time as a prosecutor was spent handling felony case in the Felony Trial Unit where he prosecuted violent felony including assaults, burglaries, robberies and weapons possession. Scott conducted several trials and prosecuted numerous persistent violent felony offenders facing mandatory life sentences. In addition to the unit he was assigned to, Scott had the opportunity to work on cases involving drugs, homicide and driving while intoxicated. Over the time he spent in the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office he learned the principals of criminal investigation, the techniques of criminal prosecution and effective sentencing strategies.. Since leaving the District Attorney's Office Scott has focused on defending criminal cases. He devoted the skills and experience he has gained to getting the best outcome for his clients. Arrest and prosecution are not the only focus of Scott’s work.  He also excels in handling the collateral consequences of an arrest or conviction. Scott believes that his client's deserve honesty, integrity and dedication to their best interests and that is what he strives to deliver for each and everyone of the people he represents.
