Background. Now in her ninth year of practice, Chanda is no stranger to the courtroom and she has sat as first chair on numerous jury trials throughout Central Ohio. Chanda has focused her legal practice on personal injury cases and she’s been helping injured people get fair and reasonable compensation since she was a second year law student. Prior to forming Walton + Brown, LLP, Chanda was the lead trial attorney in a local Columbus personal injury law firm for seven years.. Education. Chanda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems (summa cum laude) in 2003 from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Chanda returned to Dayton and received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton in 2006. While at the University of Dayton, Chanda was awarded several academic scholarships for her scholastic achievements and was also selected to be a member of the school's prestigious Moot Court team. She received CALI (highest grade) awards in several classes and graduated in the top third of her class. After graduation from law school, Chanda clerked for a federal judge for two years before joining a Columbus personal injury law firm as the lead litigation attorney.. In the Community. Chanda is a member of the American Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Ohio Association for Justice. Chanda is an active member of the Columbus (OH) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, where she serves as the co-chair of the Social Action Committee..
