John A. Christiansen has been a trial lawyer and worked in the area of litigation for over 25 years. He is a plaintiff's attorney representing injured people in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation, employment discrimination and general civil litigation. He has received the prestigious Preeminent Attorney AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell as well as being voted by other attorneys to the prestigious "Best of the Bar" in the The Kansas City Business Journal for 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. As a trial attorney, he has had over 100 trials, taken and defended over a thousand depositions (including many expert witnesses), handled over two thousand workers' compensation cases, done both jury trials and judge tried cases in a variety of practice areas, briefed and argued motions on an abundant number of topics, written appellate briefs, argued appellate cases, and counseled thousands of clients. Besides his private practice experience, Mr. Christiansen is also a former Assistant Attorney General of Missouri and a former Adjunct Professor at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has also been active in bar associations, especially the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association where he was chairman or co-chairman of the workers' compensation and appellate practice committees.
