Ms. Morrison has spent the last 26 years in the public sector as a municipal attorney, working as an assistant city attorney for the cities of Livermore and Walnut Creek.  During those 26 years, Ms. Morrison has worked in a variety of areas of law, including land use, state and federal environmental law, redevelopment, municipal finance, solid waste, resource protection and conservation and airport law.  Ms. Morrison enjoys an excellent reputation as a collaborative problem solver, skilled negotiator and transactional attorney.. Ms. Morrison's tenure as a public sector attorney affords her insights and experiences that benefit clients seeking approvals of residential, commercial  and mixed use projects, and environmental compliance including interaction with resource agencies for approval of habitat mitigation.  Her experience includes seeking federal approvals of land use projects, general plan amendments and rezoning projects, transportation projects and drafting and negotiation of development agreements.. Ms. Morrison attended the University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelor of Sciences with an emphasis on Natural Resources.  She attended Vermont Law School  for  her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Environmental Law Studies, graduating magna cum laude.  She is a member of the Contra Costa Bar Association, the Alameda County Bar Association and the Eastern Alameda County Bar Association.. Ms. Morrison is a member of the Board of Directors of Save Mount Diablo, serving as Secretary and member of the Executive Committee and is also a member of the Bay Area Equestrian Club's Board of Directors.  She previously served as Chair and Co-Chair of the Parent Involvement Association at Seven Hills School in Walnut Creek.. Ms. Morrison resides in Orinda with her daughter who attends Seven Hills School.
