I’m David Tarras, Partner at the Rossen Law Firm. I have spent my entire legal career as a criminal defense attorney, fighting tirelessly for the criminally accused in both State and Federal Court in Florida. I've successfully defended over 1000 clients charged with every manner of crime, with a particular focus on complex White Collar Crime, Federal Government Investigations, Healthcare Fraud, Sex Crimes, Weapons Offenses, Narcotics Crimes, Domestic Violence, and DUI. I have zealously represented my clients in over 40 jury trials and myriad bench trials, earning me a recognition by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the top 40 criminal defense attorneys under the age of 40 in Florida. I've also appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America and other national and local news outlets for work I have done in federal criminal defense, as well as a widely popular Apple/iTunes True-Crime Podcast.. I received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Florida Honors College. I then graduated as a Merit Scholar from the Fordham University School of Law in Manhattan, New York. For all three years of law school, I worked for a nationally-renowned criminal law professor and author on a ground-breaking research project about the role of the human brain and modern neuroscience evidence in criminal defense litigation.. Both my parents are doctors - my father a Neurologist and my mother a Pediatric Oncologist. Growing up, I watched my parents save countless children and adults who were facing the most challenging and terrifying obstacles. My dream was to one day be in a position where I, too, could spend every day fighting for my clients’ livelihoods and safeguarding their futures. With a long-time passion for competition, creative conflict resolution, and the art of persuasion, I knew I could best fulfill my dream in the arena of criminal justice, protecting the lives and freedoms of South Floridians..
