Michael was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. In 2011 he completed his undergraduate education with honors from the University at Buffalo, studying political science and sociology. From there, Michael ventured from his beloved hometown of Buffalo, New York to Florida, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, in 2014. Michael was promptly admitted into the Florida Bar, in 2014.. Since 2019 at Sidweber & Weintraub, P.A., Michael has litigated dissolution of marriage cases, paternity actions, modification actions, domestic violence cases, emergency timesharing hearings, contempt proceedings, attorney’s fees hearings, and complex financial discovery hearings. Prior to joining Sidweber & Weintraub, P.A., where he exclusively practices family law, Michael served as prosecutor for Florida’s Department of Children and Families in Miami- Dade County. During his service, Michael successfully tried over 20 trials on behalf of the State of Florida.. Michael is a published co-author of the Child Support chapters of The Florida Bar’s Dissolution of Marriage, 16th and 17th editions.. Michael is a participating member of The Family Law section of the Florida Bar, The Family Law section of the Broward County Bar Association, The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, and the First Family Law American Inns of Court where he presented a CLE sponsored event on Combatting Implicit Bias in Family Law..
