Prior to practicing law Melissa worked professionally as an environmental scientist.  She is passionate about assisting people and their businesses comply with environmental regulations.  She has also assisted her community in holding the government accountable to their regulatory duties.  While not helping families with their estate and elder law issues, Melissa works in the environmental arena.. Melissa is the mother of two and is actively involved in her community.  She has served as a Volunteer Guardian ad Litem advocating for the rights of children in the foster care system since 2002.  She also serves as the Secretary of the Florida Brownfields 501©(3) which is dedicated to assisting members of the community engage in the Brownfields process.
