If you ask Sean why he does personal injury work, this is the story he tells: "You know, I guess I’ve been picking fights with bullies since I was a kid. I was riding the bus home one day in middle school, and I saw another boy picking on someone about half his size. So, I stood up and told him what I thought of what he was doing. When we got off at our stop, he made it clear to me that we were going to have a fight about it. He was about a head taller than me. I don’t think I won, but I did get him to go away and leave us alone. That was a scary moment for me. But I’ve always been glad I spoke up.". About 20 years later, Sean is picking fights to help people who’ve been hurt due to the irresponsible acts of others. I grew up in New York City. I decided to become a lawyer after I had a bad experience of with an attorney. I was young when a family friend referred me to a lawyer who seemed to want to help. It turned out they didn’t, and I could never get in touch with them. It was a difficult process and it ended up hurting me. I realized I could do a better job than that. I pursued a career in the law, vowing to do good work for my clients.. I thought I would go into corporate law, but realized I wouldn't be helping any one and I later fell in love with trial law. The judges at one of my trial law competitions in school asked me to join their new firm when I graduated. It happened to be a personal injury firm and I have been practicing personal injury law ever since. Along the way, in my ten plus years as an attorney, I represented the insurance companies in personal injury cases. Trying multiple defense cases.. I know where the Insurance companies are coming from and I can explain to my clients how the insurance companies work. A lot of clients, when they come through my door are broken. They have been through a lot and the insurance companies are bullying them. They dont know what to do. They come to me to even the score. That is what I  aim to do for my clients. Robert Wilhite was born in Dallas, Texas in 1978. He has one brother Nathan, who lives in Seattle, WA and is a Senior Manager of Product Management at Amazon Video. As a young boy Rob was very active in sports and outdoor activities. He played football, baseball and lacrosse in high school at Highland Park High School in Dallas. He was also enjoyed numerous other outdoor activities. He learned many of his outdoor skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout, which he succeeded in becoming in 1994. After graduating high school 1996, Rob attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. As a freshman, he lived in Farrand Hall dormitory and also became a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He became involved in many different social activities with his new fraternity brothers and friends, while continuing his pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During the summers, Rob and his brother Nathan would go on backpacking and climbing trips so that they could spend time together. They spent summers trekking through Greenland and hiking and climbing in Pakistan. While these trips broadened Rob’s horizon to the world, he continued to work on his degree which he completed in 2000. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Rob took a year off from his studies. He moved to Alabama where he worked for an outdoor clothing and equipment store. He spent his time teaching kids how to rock climb, while at the same time taking his climbing and hiking skills all around the South. He then started his pursuit of a law degree in 2001 at The University of Tulsa. Upon graduation from law school in 2004, he moved to Denver where he was hired as an associate for The Sawaya Law Firm in 2005. Rob has worked his way up through the law firm to become the managing partner of the Litigation Department until he became the majority shareholder in June 2021.  As he continued to grow the firm he changed the name of the firm to The Wilhite Law Firm January 1, 2023,. Over his career he has worked on many large and complex cases and has taken many large and small cases to trial. Rob works on a variety of cases that include; but are not limited to, automobile accidents, insurance bad faith, wrongful death, and trucking accident. Rob is currently an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association. Rob is licensed to practice in Colorado and Texas courts and the United States District Court for Colorado. He has been named a 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Rising Young Star by 5280. When Rob is not in court he loves to spend his free time traveling, training for triathlons and spending time with his wife, daugther and lab.   In 2010, Rob competed in his first triathlon - the Boise 70.3 Ironman. Since then he has done multiple 70.3 Ironman races and full distance Ironman races. In addition to all his work Rob loves to travel. He recently went to Africa to compete in Ironman Africa.
