My name is Chelsi. I am a family law attorney in Gastonia, North Carolina and I love what I do! You may already know this, but for those who don't, I am proud to say that I am the daughter of Angela McIlveen and step-daughter of Sean McIlveen, owners and partner attorneys of McIlveen Family Law Firm. I was raised by a hard-working single mother. I have experienced the difficulties of growing up in a single-parent household and I know how it feels to be a child at issue in a custody case. I understand how important it is to have a fierce advocate on your side when you're fighting for your livelihood and for your children! I get my tenacity from my mother. Her skills in the court room are a force to be reckoned with. By her guidance and Sean's guidance, I have developed the skills of an excellent trial lawyer too. I am licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and California. I practiced family law in Beverly Hills, CA after law school but I soon realized that I am just a southerner through and through. In 2018, I returned to North Carolina and have lived and practiced here ever since. I attended Clemson University for my undergraduate degree and UNC Chapel Hill Law. I'm a big college sports fan, so when I'm not at the office, I'm cheering on the Tigers and the Tar Heels! I also have two dogs, Bowman and Charleston.
