Since 1994, my practice has included all aspects of domestic relations litigation, including child custody and visitation, support issues, property division and divorce as well as appeals of domestic cases to the Court of Appeals.  These cases range from simple unconetestd divorces to contested divisions of complex personal marital estates, including valuations and divisons of business assets.. In addition, I do adoption work and adult guardianship and conservatorship cases. I have been qualified by the Virginia Supreme Court as a guardian ad litem for both children and incapacitated adults. I have previously represented injured plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice matters as well as individuals charged with traffic cases. I practice in all courts in Loudoun County, and on occasion, in surrounding jurisdictions.. From 2013 - 2016 I was invited to be a faculty member for a three year term for the Virginia State Bar’s Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Class, the Virginia Supreme Court’s mandatory course on Professionalism and the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct.. I am actively involved in state and local bar associations. I am a Past President of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association (2010-2011) and  past Board Member of the state VWAA Board (2006-2014) as well as a co-founder, Treasurer and President of the local Loudoun Chapter of the VWAA.. I have been a member of the Loudoun County Bar Association and am President-Elect for the 2015-2016 term.. I have worked to ensure equal access to legal services by being a member of the Special Committee on Lawyer Referral of the Virginia State Bar Association.  The lawyer referral is a service designed to assist the public in obtaining referrals for local attorneys.. I have resided in western Loudoun since 1998 with my family and truly enjoy being a member of the Loudoun legal community.  I have been involved with various community outreach projects including moot court programs, establishing an adoption day program in Loudoun County and organzing Empty Bowls events to raise funds to combat hunger in our community.  I am an amateur potter and enjoy traveling.

Rhonda Wilson Paice was born in Loudoun County and attended Loudoun Valley High School. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and received her J.D. from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1987.. Rhonda is admitted to practice in Virginia, in all state and federal courts. After having interned while in school at the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Loudoun County and the Loudoun County Circuit Court, Rhonda began her career as an associate with the largest law firm in Virginia – McGuire, Woods, Battle & Boothe – at its Tysons Corner office. While at MWBB, her practice area was primarily civil litigation with concentrations in tort defense, warranty and products liability, and commercial and contract claims, representing international, national and regional clients. Thereafter, Rhonda worked briefly for a small Fairfax County firm specializing in regional medical malpractice defense litigation.. In 1994, Rhonda returned to Leesburg and opened the firm of Paice & Mougin-Boal with her colleague, Christine Mougin-Boal. The firm merged with Joe S. Ritenour in 2004, becoming Ritenour Paice & Mougin-Boal, a general practice litigation. firm, criminal and civil.. From 2007 to 2010, Rhonda was honored to participate as a faculty member for the Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course, the mandatory seminar required of all new members of the Virginia State Bar. The course focuses on the high level of professional and ethical conduct expected of attorneys in Virginia. The faculty members are nominated by their peers and selected by the Chief Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court.. Rhonda primarily represents individuals and small companies, and her areas of practice include the litigation of divorce/custody and visitation/spousal and child support/property division; the defense of all criminal offenses, felony/misdemeanor/traffic; the review and litigation of contract disputes; real estate contract and title issues.. Rhonda is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Loudoun County Bar Association (Board of Directors – 2004-05; President – 1997-98; Treasurer – 1995-96), and a partner in Marquis Investment Group, LLC, the owner of the historic Laurel Brigade building where the office is located.. Throughout her years of practice, Rhonda has valued community service and has been active in various outreach projects. Rhonda continues to reside in Loudoun with her daughter, and is an avid fan of her beloved Redskins and Nationals, as well as the Virginia Cavaliers.

Mrs. Miller is the newest addition to SSHW.  She attended Wesleyan College in Georgia where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in history and international relations.  Thereafter, she moved to Northern Virginia and began law school at American University.  Upon her graduation in 2010, Mrs. Miller began practicing law in the areas of family law and cirminal defense.  Over the past few years, family law has become Mrs. Miller's primary focus.  She has successfully litigated dozens of domestic cases in the fields of contested divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, close relative adoption, and asset distribution.. Mrs. Miller strives to bring calm to clients who are experiencing some of the most stressful and anxious periods of their lives.  It is her primary goal to assist the client in settling their case in a manner which is as pain free as possible under the circumstances.  However, in the event that settlement is not possible, Mrs. Miller is a tenacious advocate for her clients in the court room.

Mr. Knoster received his undergraduate education from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Process Management and Consulting, He also obtained a marketing concentration as well as a Minor in Classical Civilizations. During his time at school, Mr. Knoster was recognized multiple times on the Dean’s List for his academic accomplishments.. Mr. Knoster earned his Juris Doctorate from the West Virginia University College of Law where he graduated fifth in his class and received the distinction of Order of the Coif – an honor only given to the top ten percent of a graduating law class and only after candidate approval by the college faculty. While at the West Virginia University College of Law, Mr. Knoster also received six CALI awards for achieving the highest grade in a class for that semester and was a member of the elite United States Supreme Court Litigation Clinic.

I practice primarily family law, guiding clients through divorce, custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and protective orders. Prior to joining private practice, I had the honor of serving as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Carroll A. Weimer, Jr. in the Prince William Circuit Court. My clerking experience has provided me with intricate knowledge of the court system as well as unique problem solving experience.. My approach to family law is to provide clients with the requisite information and guidance to reach a resolution. Family law issues tend to be personal and highly emotional, and I focus on providing compassion, empathy, and respect while being transparent in providing counsel for the situation at hand. A native of Northern Virginia, James Beglis has a B.A. from the University of Virginia (1999) and a J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law (2003). He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Loudoun Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, and a certified Guardian ad litem for minor children.  James practiced exclusively criminal and traffic defense in Loudoun County before joining a family law firm in Reston for several years where, in addition to handling divorce and family law matters of every variety, he also handled all the estate planning cases.
