My areas of practice are probate, estate and trust administration, and estate planning. I served in the army after graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Law in 1970. After law school, I worked as a supervising attorney at Wayne County Neighborhood Legal Services. From there, I was in private practice for three years and then joined the Oakland County Probate Court, as Chief Deputy Register and Attorney, for eight and-a-half years. In 1984, I joined Sommers Schwartz. I have been married to a wonderful woman for near 35 years and have one daughter and a dog. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, water aerobics, and weight and strength training.
I have been representing disabled inviduals since clerking after my first year in Law School in 1992. My practice for over the past 20 years has been dedicated to fighting the government, employers, and insurance companies. My workers' compensation practice has covered the entire state of Michigan while my social security practice has incorporated the entire state as well as individuals in numerous other states (including Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, and South Carolina).
