Matt founded the firm and assembled our team based on his belief that traditional law firms do not adequately serve the business community. Matt put together a team of seasoned attorneys who focus on value above all. This demand was the impetus for our flagship In-House Counsel Experience.. Before starting the Firm, Matt worked at one of the Capital District’s more notable law firms. There, he focused on representing large national and regional clients with a variety of business and litigation matters including highly complex commercial disputes, corporate governance matters, and regulatory compliance.

Kelly is also active in the East Greenbush School District community, serving as an active member and co-vice president of the Donald P. Sutherland PTO.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of New York State and is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Capital District Women’s Bar Association, and the Bar Associations of New York State, Albany County and Rensselaer County.

I am a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on the representation of clients in serious personal injury cases.  I have experience handling Motor Vehicle, Medical Malpractice, Premises Liability, Products Liability and other Personal Liability matters, and have successfully resolved numerous cases on behalf of my clients.. Recently, I obtained a $1.4 million dollar settlement for my clients who were catastrophically injured in a complicated motorcycle/automobile accident involving multiple defendants.  I was also part of the trial team which obtained a $1.1 million dollar verdict for clients seriously injured in an automobile accident, one of the largest Albany County verdicts in over a decade.. Prior to joining DeGraff, Foy & Kunz, LLP, I practiced as an associate at a well-established personal injury firm in the Hudson Valley, and before that, at a large litigation firm in Albany.  I received my law degree from Albany Law School, where I won the Best Oral Advocate Award in the Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.  I earned my undergraduate degree from Villanova University.

While much of this litigation focuses on excessive force by police officers, it can also result from other governmental actions including denial of due process.. Gennaro handles criminal cases in both adult and juvenile courts. His practice areas include but are not limited to drug crimes, DWI, parole and probation, theft and fraud crimes, weapon offenses, assault crimes, domestic violence and traffic violations. He also handles appellate issues and post-verdict relief litigation. He has successfully argued before the Appellate Division Third Department and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit..
