Hi all,. I attended law school because I was involved in a personal probate matter.  My husband died and there was a probate issue that was a first impression issue in the United States. It took five years to get through the legal maze and ultimately favorably settled the case.. I understand what it is like to be "the client" because I was a client.  Everytime I meet a new or potential client, I am taken back to the day that I first met my attorney.   I had a wonderful attorney but I was still nervous and scared.. Sometime during the legal process I decided that I wanted to become an attorney and help people through the probate process.  I was accepted by South Texas College of Law and in August 1996, I loaded up a U-Haul truck  and drove from Slidell, Louisiana  to Houston, Texas. I began my journey to become an attorney as a widow with a 5 year old child. I graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1999 and passed the Texas state bar exam. I attended Tulane School of Law and graduated in 2000 with an LL.M. with emphasis in taxation. I am also licensed in Louisiana.
