She was also formally trained as a mediator while working for the Court.. After Kate completed her clerkship with Judge Goger, she worked for one of Atlanta’s top civil litigation defense firms, Carlock, Copeland & Stair, where she was made partner after building a successful nursing home practice. While at Carlock, Kate worked for many major insurance companies defending cases focusing on nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle accidents.
